Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard debut as teammates, help the Milwaukee Bucks top the LA Lakers - Sports Illustrated Milwaukee Bucks News, Analysis and More

Khris Middleton had to watch from the sidelines on Wednesday night as the Milwaukee Bucks took on the Detroit Pistons in what turned out to be quite a nail-biter. It was the first night of a back-to-back set and the Bucks opted to rest Middleton as part of the team’s injury management plan for his left knee injury.

The good news for Milwaukee is that the three-time All-Star is now back in the mix for Thursday’s clash against Central Division rivals, the Indiana Pacers.

Khris Middleton Good to Go for Milwaukee Bucks

Middleton was nowhere to be found on the injury report for Thursday’s game, which means that he will be available to play.

Khris Middleton NBA Preview vs. the PistonsMiddleton was also seen putting up some shots ahead of the game alongside Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo:

As expected, Middleton will suit up on Thursday after being given the night off on Wednesday. It remains to be seen if this is the trend for the 32-year-old swingman moving forward in terms of his availability for back-to-back sets.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard Pop Up on Injury Report

Middleton’s availability against the Pacers will be crucial now that both Giannis and Damian Lillard were listed on the official injury report.

Antetokounmpo, who was seen warming up on the court hours before tipoff, is probable to play with a sore left ankle. At this point, all signs are pointing to the former back-to-back MVP taking the floor against Tyrese Haliburton and Co.

Dame, on the other hand, is questionable to play due to soreness in his right calf. It appears that Lillard is going to miss his first game for the Bucks with the team opting to give him the night off on the second night of a back-to-back set.
