Miami Heat vs Sacramento Kings: Odds, Keys To The Game, And More

The Sacramento Kings intend to sign center Orlando Robinson to a one-year contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Robinson, 24, is 7-foot-0 and has appeared in 67 games over two seasons with the Miami Heat, averaging 3.2 points and 3.1 rebounds. That includes 36 games with the Heat last season.

Miami waived Robinson earlier this month before his salary for 2024-25 became guaranteed. He then joined the Houston Rockets for the Las Vegas Summer League, offering some strong inside play and averaging 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds in five games.

With the Kings, he may actually have a shot at some real playing time, as center Domantas Sabonis only has Alex Len backing him up at the moment. (A third Kings center from last season, JaVale McGee, remains unsigned.) So now it seems as if Robinson will also be in the mix.

Robinson — who played 67 games for the Miami Heat in his first two NBA seasons — averaged 14 points and nine rebounds on 59 percent shooting in the Vegas Summer League.

Of course, the Kings’ biggest move of the offseason has been landing veteran wing DeMar DeRozan in a three-team trade involving the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs. Forward Harrison Barnes was sent to the Spurs in that deal, and shooting guard Chris Duarte to the Bulls.

Robinson went undrafted out of Fresno State in 2022. Once his deal becomes official, Sacramento will have 14 players under standard contracts and all three two-way slots filled.
