Another Newport County Youngster Leaves on Loan

Newport County’s Riley Lonergan has joined Cardiff Metropolitan University FC on loan.

The move offers the academy graduate a chance to play in the Cymru Premier and is set to last until January 12, 2026.

Lonergan, who has been part of Newport County’s first-team pre-season training, will gain more senior football experience during his time at Cardiff Met.

Newport County have wished him luck and expressed eagerness to monitor his progress in the coming months.
