Carlos Vinícius’ agent Flávio Ribeiro has already stated there’s a real chance for him to leave Fulham and return to Brazil. The striker’s contract expires in June and the Premier League club have an option for another year, which it’s believed they are unlikely to exercise.
On Friday, Trivela stated Botafogo and São Paulo could consider signing the 29-year-old in the summer window. Later that day, Goal Brasil reported Atlético-MG have joined the race for Carlos Vinícius.
RTI Esporte provide Atlético-MG’s stance on signing the Fulham player, who is expected to leave as a free agent after this season.
Atlético-MG consider the Brazilian ‘expensive’ and therefore, won’t be able to secure his services.
The former Benfica man currently earns £2m per year [likely net] with Marco Silva’s side and the Brazilian club consider his salary to be ‘unrealistic’.
They are interested in Carlos Vinícius, but their finances aren’t allowing them to make progress with this operation. The report states they can only sign if he’s willing to take a pay cut.
Botafogo were mentioned as an option, but RTI Esporte state they didn’t show interest in him due to his recent performances. The frontman has played four minutes for Fulham this season.
