It now looks like Malik Williams won’t get to participate in this year’s training camp with the Miami Heat.
Wednesday afternoon, the Heat announced they had waived Williams, one day after signing him to an Exhibit 10 contract.

This move clears the way for Williams to return to Miami’s G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, without taking up one of Miami’s training camp spots.
Williams played most of last season with Sioux Falls, before signing a NBA contract with Toronto on April 3rd. That same day Williams made his NBA debut with the Raptors. Williams ended up playing seven games with Toronto, making two starts.
