West Brom Chairman Sends Heartfelt Message To Fans Ahead Of Next Season

West Brom owner and chairman Shilen Patel has spoken out on the final day of the Championship season.

West Brom faced Luton Town in their final Championship clash of 2024/25.

It was a huge game for Luton in their bid to avoid relegation, but it had little meaning to the Baggies.

West Brom sacked Tony Mowbray last month after a disappointing run of form, which saw them go into May 3 down in 10th place and with no chance of reaching the play-offs even if they won.

James Morrison is in temporary charge, and oversaw their last fixture on Saturday, during which chairman Shilen Patel sent a message to fans.

Jed Wallace was disappointed after the Midlands outfit blew their chance to make it into the 2024/25 Championship play-offs.

West Brom set an unwanted record last week as well, but their owner remained upbeat when reflecting on the campaign.

Taking to X/Twitter, Patel thanked fans for their support and spoke of building toward the 2025/26 season.

He wrote: “Thank you Baggies around the globe for your incredible support this season.

“Through thick and thin, the constant has been your backing and belief, and we have much to build on for next season. Up the Albion!”

Latest West Brom manager update

West Brom dominated Luton with relative ease on Saturday, scoring three goals inside the first 45.

It was another feather in the cap of their temporary boss’ burgeoning career as a coach.

Morrison commented on becoming West Brom manager last week, but suggested it was a bit early for him.

He said: “I probably could (get used to it) actually yeah.

“It’s a bit early in my development, but it’s good for my learning curve.”

Elsewhere, talks took place between Marti Cifuentes and West Brom, but he is not on their shortlist.
