Brighton & Hove Albion starlet Ibrahim Osman has emerged as a target for Southampton in their search for a new wideman.

Blues are believed to be showing interest in Osman, who has spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Ligue 1 side Auxerre, and could strike another deal with the Seagulls this month.

Osman would be an high profile addition for the Saints if they have pulled the deal from Brighton.

The Ghanaian winger joined Brighton from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2024 in a £16million deal, but he hasn’t played a game for his parent club yet.

Osman spent last season on loan at Dutch side Feyenoord, where he scored three Eredivisie goals and featured in the Champions League, before being shipped to Auxerre in the summer.

The 21-year-old winger has made seven starts in Ligue 1, with a further seven appearances off the bench, and provided two assists.

Saints hoped to sign Gambian starlet Abdoulie Manneh to solve their winger shortage but their deal with Swedish side Mjällby AIF collapsed last week.
